Welcome to Global Gang's very own notice boards! Here you'll find everything you need to help you use it. If you have any difficulties using the board, contact one of the moderators listed underthe 'Contact' button on the Main Menu. These help pages are divided into sections. Click on the one you need:
Anyone who can get onto the Internet from their computer can read messages on this board. To readthe messages, click once on the links in the list of topics and subtopics. You can go back to pages you have just visited using the 'back' button at the top of each page. To post a message in a topic, fill in the "Add a Message" box at the bottom of the page. You can use cool tricks to make your message look more interesting. To add messages to most of the topics, you need a username and password, which your teacher or group leader has to get for you, by filling in the form on the opening page. For some topics, you don't need a user name or password to add a message. In some topics, there is a "Create New Conversation" button, which you can click on to start a new discussion of your choice. The subject will be whatever you put in the subject line, and the message you send will get it started. Getting a user name and password To post messages in most topics, you need a username and password, which your teacher or group leader has to get for you. He or she can do this by filling in the form on the opening page. For some topics, you don't need a user name or password to add a message. Click on Cool Tricks in the Main Menu for info on how to make your messages look more exciting. If you have any other problems or questions, either post a message about them, or contact one of the moderators in the Contact section of the Main Menu. When writing your messages, please be as charming and polite as you would be when speaking face-to-face with someone! If you use bad language in your message, it will not appear on the page. Any rude or insulting messages will be removed immediately. It's fine to disagree strongly withopinions, ideas, and facts, but always with respect for the other person.Great minds do not always think alike, and that's where the fun is! Also,please remember that all the messages you read express the thoughts of the writers, and may not be shared by other members of our Global Gang. |
