Do YOU have to help out at home?

' I like cooking because my mum won't always be there to do it for me! I need to learn how to cook for when I have children of my own,' says Blandine, 12, from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

'I do lots of jobs at home. I help my mum in the garden and to clean the house and sweep the floor. I wash the dishes and help wash our clothes, too. Sometimes I help with the cooking. I can fry fish and bananas and I can cook rice, but I prefer it when my mum cooks,' says Heide, 13, from the Philippines.

'I like to fetch water because we can't do the housework without it! Water is life, after all!'
says Mirali, 13, from the Democratic Republic of Congo
