The story starts a long time ago.
After the Second World War lots of people in Europe had nowhere to live. So people in the British and Irish churches set up an organisation to help them. This became Christian Aid.
Where money is spent today
Today Christian Aid helps people in 60 poor countries to make their lives better. We spend £40 million a year a lot of money! It is sent to organisations that work with poor people in their own countries. We call these organisations partners. We're like good friends.
