Moses' story
Every day, Moses gets up at the crack of dawn to collect water. He can't stumble out of bed and jump into the shower, as there's no running water in his house. It's easy to get to the water pipe but the walk back is all uphill. The water seems to get heavier as he carries it slowly in the hot sun.
Moses lives in Kenya, east Africa. In most African villages it's girls who fetch water, but Moses is an only child so he does it. He doesn't mind. In fact he thinks it's quite cool.
Moses collects the water for his whole family his grandmother and two uncles. They use it for washing, cooking and drinking. Even though they have learned how to keep the water area clean he always boils their drinking water. You just don't know what invisible germs might be lurking!
By the end of the day all the water's been used up and Moses has to go back down the hill again.
