Visitors to the Christian Aid Week tent in Beith painted messages of peace for the world.
The stones will later be built into a cairn and given a special place in the town, which is in Ayrshire, Scotland.
A cairn is a memorial made out of a pile of stones. These are often found on hilltops and historic places. People who see the Christian Aid cairn will be reminded of people who don't have peaceful lives, perhaps because they live in places where there are wars and fighting.
Ross, 7, from Beith, painted a rainbow and a dove on his stone.
'Drawing is my favourite hobby,' he said. 'I'd like to be an artist when I grow up. I think it's really unfair that some children can't go to school. Everyone should get educated and be able to do more things.'
At another Christian Aid Week event, Rhona, 10, from Fairlie won a quiz. She wants to do her bit to make the world a fairer place. She helps out on a Traidcraft stall that sells things that people from poor countries have made.
