War in Iraq

Have YOUR say

I think the war in Iraq had to happen, but a lot of innocent children have died. Also, Tony Blair says he can't find the money for hospitals and saving people's lives, but he can find the money to make bombs to kill people.
Roxy, 13, from England

I think poverty is awful and I find it so sad to hear about all the poor people in Iraq who are innocent and dying because of this silly, unneeded war.
Gracie, 10, from London in England

I think everyone should be treated the same way whether they are poor, helpless, dying or rich. So war should stop.
Lucy, 11, from Cardiff in Wales

I think the war was a good idea but I think they should help Iraq get back on their feet.
Nicolle, 13, from Barnoldswick in England

My mother's a soldier and she is based in Iraq at the moment. I miss her because I haven't seen her for months but she is saving the people of Iraq from an evil man, Saddam.
When it's over the people will have a voice to be heard. In my country I have the right to express myself freely – Iraqis don't. When they try to make their opinions noticed they get tortured and killed.
We don't have the right to bomb someone else's country and innocent people will die, but in the long run we are giving Iraqis something that they have never had before but we take for granted – freedom.

Dear Postbox
I think the war is very unfair. People are getting injured and killed. The women and children should be sent to another country so they do not get hurt. They have done nothing wrong. It is Saddam's fault for putting his people in danger.
Carianne, 10, from Southend in England

Dear Global Gang
I think the war is bad. We should not kill people, because they haven't done
anything to us.
Stacey, 10, from England

Dear Postbox
I think that in the world people should get on with each other instead of killing each other. God didn't create this world for people to fight, he created us for people to get along, and he also created us to see the
world.
