'My favourite job is collecting firewood. It's a traditional thing for girls to do. I collect the siso plant as it doesn't smoke much when it burns. I carry it tied in bundles, using a kind of rope made from plants. We use firewood for making fires to heat our water and to cook our food, so I need to collect it every day,' says
Nthenya, 13, from Kenya.

' My favourite job is collecting water on my cart, because I like driving things. I made it myself. It's easier to pull the water than to carry it. My cart is fun for playing on too,'
