What is Christian Aid?

What a load of rubbish!

Kids from Burley Middle School in Yorkshire decided to start a recycling project for their village.

They sent out leaflets to everyone and asked them to leave out their rubbish on one Saturday morning every month. Mountains of paper, aluminium cans, clothes, wool and used stamps were left out! The project was really successful and raised a fantastic
£21 000 for Christian Aid and other charities, too.

'It was great to get to the top of the tip when it was full of paper!' says Neil, 12. 'What's more, we always felt we had done something good for the environment, and raised money for Christian Aid, too.'
