Luke went to Kenya

I had a ride in the cockpit

Monday 8 July
It is now a week until the film crew come and film me in school. I'm really looking forward to it. I hope nobody in my class will spoil it. I will try to be nice to everybody this week.

Monday 15 July
Yesterday I was filmed at church, singing in the choir, and in children's church. It was a happy day. There was a presentation of choir medals and I was given my red medal. Today I got filmed in school. It was really cool.

Tuesday 16 July
Today dad and I started our journey. After eight hours in the air we landed in Nairobi, the capital. The airport seemed small compared to Heathrow.

Friday 19 July
Today we went to St Elizabeth's school in Nairobi. I went to a maths lesson with children my age. It was really boring!

Saturday 20 July
We woke up early and set off for the equator, which is like an imaginary line that runs around the centre of the earth, and is closest to the sun. We got out of the vehicle and a guide showed us how water flows in different directions on different sides of the equator.

We're at the equator, check it out!

Then we drove on towards a town called Maua, where we had a family reunion at my grandma's house. We played some games and had some food. It was goat meat and rice with a spicy sauce. Goat meat is rubbery to chew.

Sunday 21 July
We went to a service at the local Methodist church. It was four hours long and there was an auction of fruit and vegetables in the middle.
