I was flying without wings

Yi Ling's diary

Wednesday 31 July

Today we went up Victoria Peak, the highest mountain in Hong Kong.

Thursday 1 August
I was missing my friends a bit today. And my brother, Chi-Ho, had an upset tummy. We went to the Ocean Park theme park. It was the best place! The giant pandas were so cute and the dolphins were great, I wanted to take one home.

I went on some great rides. The line for the flying swing was massive but I went on it anyway, twice actually. I felt like I was flying without wings. I didn't go on the rollercoaster in case I was sick (and I was also a scaredy-cat). I really want to live at Ocean Park. It's so fab!

Check out Ocean Park here.

Friday 2 August
Today we travelled to Guangdong to see my grandparents. It was really great to see them.

Saturday 3 August
This morning I did some exercises called Tai Chi in the park with hundreds of other people. It's a traditional way to start the day in China. Then we went to a market where you can buy lots of different things to eat, like chickens, water snakes, scorpions and frogs! My gran has got chickens at her house, so she showed me how to feed them.

Check out what was on sale at the market.
